Is there any possibility that I could leave the inner axle seals out and over fill the axle for better bearing lubrication or is that a stupid idea just wondering. Seems like I heard someone talking about doing it in a 44 once.

There aren't inner axle seals. At least any I've had.

Tubes are wet to lube the outer bearings if I remember right.

I had this on Pirate4x4 also and they were telling me that there is no inner axle seals, but the rear end I have has a seal on both sides of the outer bearing, and I was thinking that I was gonna leave the inner seal out andseal everything up tight and put 1 gal of fluid in.

Are you sure it's a seal and not a bearing retainer?

IF you have inner axle seals on the outer bearing then you have a sealed precision bearing. You cant take that seal out unless you change your axle bearings to a tapered roller bearing. I wouldnt suggest changing this as i think the sealed bearing is a better setup. The seal for the tapered roller bearing are inferior to the seals of the sealed bearing. By chance is your 9in. 28 spline?

It seems to be working fine so far. Yes it was a 28 splines but I bumped up to 31 spline alloys
