As in Beefy's build thread.....what are links? I hear it often but I have no clue what it means. Is it easily explained or too much to type?

A link connects the axle to the frame. Depending on design there are 3 or 4 in the front and 4 in the back. There are no leaf springs. They are either coil springs or a weight supporting shock.

    Okay...another question.

Which is better, 4 link or 3 link, or is it a matter of either preference or vehicle layout?

4 link is better but with mechanical steering, it is very hard to package in the front, so most have a 3 link.
