    Default Cold Trans?

Ok new little issue with my truck:
    2007 6.7L Diesel with 6 speed auto (68rfe)

First instance: Remote start truck let it run for about 15 minutes. Got in to leave motor was at 150 ish degrees trans was at about 40. Put it in drive let it idle out of parking spot and BAM it hits 3rd gear lockup, I was on my toes and was able to slap it in to neutral. Put it back in gear no problem after.

Second instance: Truck has been running about 10 minutes, two new batteries today. Leave the house again motor is about 150 but this time trans is only at 17 degrees, so I'm being very easy on it. Get to the first stop light about a mile from home now the trans is at about 35 degrees, come to a stop BAM hit again I actually thought someone rear ended me it hit so hard, this time it was on pavement and it actually stalled the truck. Fired right back up no problems.

It's happened twice so far, really cold days (today at -11 and previous time at -15)

    Any ideas?

Truck has H & S MiniMaxx tuner and ATS tripple disc torque converter.

    Any help is appreceiated

Call ATS. Sounds like the converter is locking up at the wrong time.

Any chance the programmer is causing it. I know I have the options of locking TC on mine in the lower gears. Perhaps you should take the tuner off and give it a shot, depending on what ATS says...

I can't take the tuner off because the DPF and EGR deletes the truck wont run. ATS was useless all he said was "Well let me know if it starts doing it in reverse"

    Calling H & S today

What about a bad trans speed sensor? I know my 2001 did some weird shit and hunted around and shifted early when the sensor was going out. Not sure if they use the same type of sensor in a 2006, but its worth checking out. It the sensor at the back of the trans.

I'm gonna try a new trick I learned today, leave a key in the truck so I can shut it off in Neutral, then when I remote start the trans will circulate the fluid.

Maybe you should consider something other than Dodge.
