Talking Look what followed me home..

    [IMG][/IMG]
Picked up a fairly solid 1999 xj, with 160,000 miles on it.... since the 95 has started to rust in half.... let the build begin... mostly it's going to be parts swapping but still. Much work ahead.

trying to decide between the 5.5" lift I have now, and adding 2 more inches... LOL transfering all the body armor, hood vents, cut out fender flares, rescue gear, and such from the 95 as well.....

shaggy, the axle will most likely be up for grabs.. it's got 3:73's I believe, u-joints are only about 2 years old, good brakes, and a new d/s wheel bearing.

I'm looking for a couple of parts yet.... need a set of adjustable upper arms, and a grill with surround to fit a 1999...

I've been driving it to work for at least 2 weeks now..LOL... trying to get all the little bugs worked out before the lift. Lots of little things to deal with, the person that owned it was not real mechanical.

    Looks nice Dusty!!!! Congrats!!!

I was beginning to wonder how much longer you were going to be able to drive the old Cherokee....

BUT....you could've bought a sweet 97 TJ that's already built!!! Then you could go topless!

call me a sissy, but I like to wheel an auto.. LOL

Zack just finished drilling out all the rivets in the cut out flares, and I pulled the cold air intake, throttle body spacer, and the vent visors. Tomorrow it's the diamond plate body armor... 50 rivets or so.. LOL Maybe next week I'll start putting more on the new jeep....
