It is tore apart in the driveway right now. It is getting upper and lower inner C gussets and Poly Performance ball joints. I will take pics tomorrow slightly out of focus so you will not see my weld beads.

OK all the above repairs got done a while ago.

Today I wired up an ESP bypass switch. At SnoFari, I got fed up with the damn computer backing off on the throttle and applying the brakes when the tires were spinning going up the hills. It was so bad I could only get 2500 RPM and the trans overheated.

Gas tank skid plate. Drummond Island showed me the factory skid plate left a lot to be desired (read - I trashed it). So since Jeep was willing to give me a new gas tank free, I decided to upgrade the skid.

I added 1/8" steel on the large flat portion of the tank and 1/4" sheet on the front where the old skid got banged up the most. The new armor was plug welded to a relatively new and undamaged factory skid about every 6 inches or so. Weldable primer was used between the new and old parts. Man, is that stuff expensive!

How much did the steel cost you? I'm thinking I want to do this to mine before it gets all banged up.

I got tired of getting the 'HOT OIL' message telling me the trans is overheating. So I put in a trans cooler.
