Not every one has insurance ? Then park the rig until it does .
This all ways amaze's me when people do not have insurance on a rig . Doesnt matter if you drive on the road or not . Take a simple trail ride , your jeep rolls back or you dont see a kid and run over so much as a foot . You have any indea what " YOU " are going to be paying ?
If its not insured leave it in your yard for your own protection .

I think one issue with that is buggies...how do you get insurance on it if it doesn't have a title?
but I agree with you....my rig has only been driven 5 miles in the last 18 months but has insurance on it. I haven't renewed my plates this year...but insurance is paid every month.

same as you do snomachines and quads . It cost more perhaps for a buggy , its not that you cant get coverage for liablity im willing to bet .
Iv never seen any thing that " cant " be insured .

I get where you are coming from...but a sled or quad are something more common than a homemade buggy for insurance purposes. There are actual policies out there to write for them.....like you said one would have to be made up for a buggy. And can't be cheap. Best bet if you owned a buggy would be to get a title off a scrapped Jeep, truck, Suv etc and use that for ins.

if you spent the money to build it, and wheel it, spend the money to insure it.
It ma cost a little more until you kill someone, then you'll be wishing it only cost so little
