I still plan on going to the Dec 1st run near west branch . Im sorry to say the GMC is still not bug free at this point .

Front springs like to wrap up way to much , Front drive shaft is going to require an extended slid yoke . I thougth leaf's didnt flex ? Those front springs look like yo yo's under there :hehe:

Im hoping i can get the extended slid yolk Monday or Tuesday , anti wrap device im working on now .

With out my own play area to test for problems this thing would not have lived the day :flip:

Still trying to figure out my annoying front end howl. Other than that I got a lot of work done the last few weeks on my simple rig. New SYE, disco's, undercarriage coated up, etc. All the work I have wanted to do, but haven't had the motivation til now.:woot:

well today i got the flatbed running again (quadrajet to holly swap), still need to plug up all the anti smog crap that is now useless and mod the air box to fit right, but she is allmost back in the jeep towin business and will be ready for work come next fri.

i also got started on cubes bent steering and broken lug studs on his jeep so he will be ready.

still have to go to the shop tonight (after a movie and post inlaw alone time with wife) and teardown the tcase in my jeep to see whats making the evil 4 low noisess (prety sure i have a little more welding and grinding on the shift fork for the chain)
and change some fluids

I forgot a few , changes trans and t case fluid . replace and ugly sounding wheel bearing , think all the welding on the front tubes put an arc across a roller in the bearings . Ill add the new lock outs while im doing bearings . Ya next week is another work fest week .

Motors running great, lockers are in both front and rear, everything is ready to go. Too bad I can't get off work that weekend, so won't make it.

Jim got his fixed up yesterday and it is already loaded on the trailer. My jeep is staying home this time, we don't know what to expect with trailer parking and the 35 footer is hard to manever in tight spots. As long as neither of us get asked to work that day we are a go. Work for us isn't mandatory on weekends, but with the holidays coming the extra money would be nice.

Heh, my junkbox runs, stops, steers, and moves. That right there is enough to make me happy for another 6 months.

I'll be going if I can get my wallet filled up in time. Otherwise, I'm out, as I have no tow rig/ trailer, so I need to plan ahead for breakage.

I played wrap up on a bunch of my stuff today .

Items left for the new ride , Rebuild front shaft till it suits me . Got a new idea and a 10" spline to make a long travel shaft .

Put in some new wheel bearings and lock outs . Should be wrapped up and ready to go tomorrow night ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I hope , its been a long month building this thing from scratch .

The plan was to go, but now that has changed. Just way to much stuff going on to make it up. Besides, the TJ was not feeling quite right the last time I drove it.
