I did some work on the XJ this weekend, getting it ready for paint.
Doors, rock sliders, aux lights,..........and other sheet metal.

I like that front bumper. Any plans for a winch on it?

Its pretty standard. I did keep them short so that the bumper tucked up tight to the grill. The tow hook framing actually is the hitting part on the approach angle. They were on the rig when I bought it, I just haven't figured out if I'm going to get rid of them yet. I don't know the angle, but when I'm in the garage tomorrow night, I will check.

The design will handle a winch I would have to extend the mount brackets out about 5 inches. I wanted to keep it tight to the grill for now. If I buy a winch the new mounts are just a plasma cut away.

I drove the XJ on pavement to work today for the first time since I did all the repairs to the steering and suspension.
Mickey's in light rain with stiff suspension and tight steering is quite fun...............
I almost had to lock it in to go down the road :hehe:
It is coming along though, with more work to do tonight.
