I know, I know this is a PITA question, but what would cause the passenger-side of Barney to sag 1-2 inches? To further complicate the issue, this is the second set of coils that this is happening to.
Any ideas? :banghead:

Both sides are identical with the exception of the steering box skid on the DS. Not many peeps want to ride gun with me, so the passenger-side is usually empty when I wheel.

Mine leans to the driver side, but I know why.:hehe:

tjs put a lot of stress on the right rear spring. it is normal for them to sag over time. i have also heard that short arm lifts over 3in will make the springs wear out quicker due to the change in the suspension

Driveshaft torque acting on the rear axle will try to compress the right rear spring more than the others, so over time that one will sag more than the others. Very common. Mine got that way after a while. Eventually the spring broke and it really leaned.

Improper bump stop length vs. coil design. Find a set of coils that are capable of full coil bind without memory.
Relocate your upper rear spring buckets(move them back) so that the coil sits straight instead of arched.

It's called torque lean, generally leans to the right rear area of the Jeep. Don't know what other kinds of vehicles it happens on, but it does on my XJ and my dad's TJ.

:hehe::hehe::hehe:

yeah we both have that left side lean going on....

works well for tight cornering though
(although probably not good enough to offset the spooled front and rear LOL)

BINGO! It's always dipping to the right when I take-off from a traffic light, or when I make a sharp turn to the right. Nothing happens on the left-side, even when I turn it so sharply that you would think it would roll. LOL
