FFM, I've heard that it's hard to run a sbc 350 in a yj. Any problems?

Did you get it cheap from the guy that laid it on it's side at the dunes?
I thought you wheeled a VW.

just a heads up. if you use XJ rear springs it will put u at a 8ish" stretch unless you redrill the centering pin. Also im sure you are aware of this but if dont add another main leaf or stiffen the pack up they will reverse arch extremely soon. mine did it the first time out wheeling.

UPDATE:
Picked up a 44/14 bolt combo with 5.13s, high steer, discs all the way around, locked front and rear, set up for SOA.
Picked up a D300. Going to run the D300 behind the AX-15 and the 4.0 for a while until I do the chevy swap.
Need to get H1s and tires yet.
To sum up-
4.0 to AX-15 to D300. 44/14 bolt combo with above mentioned goodies. 1" BL, 1" Currie lift shackles, and probably the 1.5" lift springs that I already have.
I can't do XJ springs in the rear with the 14 bolt without having to relocate the gas tank, but I don't want to lose my backseat.

Shit I forgot about that, I just picked up a new frame. It's ok though, I will use the frame that you have for something as well. You still want that 20 right?
UPDATE- Picked up a new tub and frame, so we are getting closer. Ish.

Are we just stacking parts up or is there actually going to be work done soon?

Both really. The guy that I bought the axles from is a good buddy of mine, and we are going to the badlands the frist weekend of April, and he was worried that he would not get the 60/70 done in time, so he is going to run them there. I won't get possession of the axles until at least then. I am going to do the 300 and the axles on the Jeep now, but the tub and frame will be worked on this summer so I have everything exactly how I want it for a big winter swap.
BTW- send me a slew of kids that are smarter than me and it will get done!!!!!! I was looking at your build thread and those kids are lightyears ahead of me as far as knowledge and fab skills go.

Those kids are are really impressive.
My Toy would still be a rusted piece of crap sitting in the back of my garage without them. And I know it is not done yet but even at this point it is way better than I ever expected.
Also this build sounds like it will be quite the wheeler.

I hope so. I am really torn on a few aspects because as much as I want to have a pile of tubes, I really want to be able to button it all up and have a rear seat for my girls. All of the mods will be done with my kids in mind, because I really want them to be involved.
