I figure I will finally put this up for sale. It is a 1985 rm250. It is decent condition, and ready to ride. It already comes with a spark arrestor and orv sticker for 2008 on it, so it is ready for the trails or dune.
Specs:
250 cc 2-stroke, liquid cooled engine.
cylinder bored 1.5 mm over, new wiseco piston as of last week.
DG pipe, new 1.5 yrs ago.
New Mikuni Carb 2 yrs ago.
Good disc brakes front.
Decent drum brakes rear.
Tires in decent shape, though there is some cracking.
Good sprockets, though might need a chain soon.
New clutch cable last fall.
New throttle cable this spring.
Oil changed after every 3rd ride.
Mostly trail ridden, some trips to the dunes with it.
It has a different rear shock than stock. Same length, but the hose for the reservoir was shorter, so I tucked it up under the seat. I have been riding with this shock this way for over 3 years and never had a problem.
I also have a box of spare parts that go with it, including most of a bottom end, side covers, and so on.
THe seat has a few small rips on it, and the rear fender has some aluminum holding one of the mounts in place.
I am asking $700 o.b.o.
The bike is located in Columbus Mi. 48063, and I can show it any weekend, but it would be tough to meet during the week. For serious buyers, I would be willing to meet somethwhere mid state, maybe MT. Pleasant, or FLint, but I also go trail riding a fair amount, so tossing it on the trailer wouldn't be a problem.
