PMing with RubiClone.

Do you know how many vehicles are going to show up for the weekend? Rubi asked

Wish I really knew. Here is what I can say with a pretty good certainly.

Yourself
Grandman
Shaker
Dunn trucking
Mud Viper
Jason from Cooters off road
Jason`s customer with the Hemi YJ (?)

Beyond that I am not sure. Several folks have hinted at others but I have no firm commitments.

See ya Friday !!
John Edwards
Looks like Duntruckin may be comin and bringing a grill base don his last post. That sounds like a great idea for lunch. Cookin on the trail (brats, burgers, dogs) ????
Maybe we can confirm he is actually coming, bringing the grill, and everyone thinks this idea is worth pursuing. Or maybe everyone wants to do their own thing....
Said Rubi

Like your idea of cooking in da woods. Said me.
Couple thoughts.

1. The cabin is right in the midst of the trails. So we could go back there and cook. I have a grill and we could put stuff in the fridge.

2. Next to the Hen House is a Subway sandwich shop.

3. Town isnt far from the trails.

What do you think folks ? Who is going to show and how do we wish to proceed ? :wave4::thumbsup::popcorn::blabla::fryingpan::danc e::woot::wtf::hehe::dirty::ha:brent:mongo::drool:: marv::marv::marv::marv::marv::marv::marv::marv::ma rv::marv::marv: Sue :eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::eq::e q::eq::eq::eq:

We can eat at the cabin, no problem. Fridge is available. As is a picnic table etc. If it is raining we can eat in the garage if need be.

Was thinking that after the breakfast at the Hen House we would all swing by the cabin. It is right on the way to the trails. If for nothing else to show folks a common "Base Camp" in the event somebody has problems. We break into more then one group. Or ?? That way we could all be on the same page.

We have a grill in the garage and with another couple more showing up, we should be all set. Couple of BIG SPOONS also. :poke::hehe:

Sound good ?:wave4:

From what I am being told, Jsawduste can’t make it this weekend for reasons I am not sure of as of yet, so the rains of this event have fallen back into my hands. It appears that most of the planning for this event has already taken place, so there is no need to make any real alterations except one. Since Jsawduste can’t make it, I believe we will not have use of his cabin, so we will be setting up base camp at a parking lot just down the road from the Hen’s House in case anyone needs to unload or set there vehicles up.

For those of you traveling straight to St Helen, as you well know, there is a group meeting up at the Hen House for breakfast at around 10:00 if I remember right. I will be coming up from the Flint area and stopping at the Standish rest stop, which will be the first rest stop past Bay City, between 8:30 and 9:30 to meet up with anyone coming from the Southeast. Would like to be on the road again by 9:30, so if anyone is on there way up from the Southeast and is running behind, just give me a call (810) 210-6177 is my cell number. From the rest area I will be heading up to the Hen House and should arrive there somewhere between 10 and 10:30 to meet up with everyone else.

After breakfast we will head out to the parking lot to unload and prep then head off to the trails. Would like to get out on the trail by at least 11:30. As for lunch. Originally there was plans on heading back to Jsawduste’s cabin to grill lunch, but at this point it looks like we will be having lunch on the trail. Grandman I believe is bring a grill with him as well as someone else if I remember right.

Correct me if I am wrong on the events and times that were already planned

To all,
my heartful apologies for causing up a stir.
Just last night at 11:30 Roger of ORJ and myself were chatting about the upcoming weekend.

This morning I was informed of a family member whom is very ill. I am confident that all of you folks can understand where my priorities must now lay.

Thanks to Grandman and MudViper. The show will go on pretty much as planned !!

You folks have fun and be safe !!

Perhaps a few pictures and a trail report ?:getpics::getpics:

Starting to think there is a dark cloud over my head. This is the third event thus far this year I have had to cancel out of. :soapbox:

Thanks

Got my ORV sticker last night too, although I asked them if I could get it in a different color other then green since it clashes with the color of my XJ and the person at the counter was not to amused.
