Well i went and put full size d44's from a 82 dodge 3/4 ton under my cj7. My question is if there is an easier alternative to fix the draglink problem. The dodge was outside frame box. I can order the steering arms from PSC for 210.00 plus shipping. Is there a fullsize linkage out there where the draglink ties into the tierod. I have a 4" drop pitman arm so i dont think the angle would be to steep. I know the high steer kit would be better but cash is a little tight right now and its something i could do later.

Any ideas would help.........

thanks
kyle

use one ton chevy tie rod ends or similar.

or you could just run something similar to this.

a full size chevy center link should fit. they also have the spot for the drag link to connect near the passanger tre

the best route i would think is to go with a high steer setup.. made the d44 swap into toivo's xj alot easier..

yeah the that helps a bunch. I want the run the high steer and probably will later. Thanks guys.
Another question i have is it possibly to have 2.00 gears in a d44? One full turn of the tire turns the drive shaft 2 full turns.

thanks

Did you make sure the other wheel wasent rotating? If so you ahve to multipy that number you got x2 because of the spider gears. so most likley it is a 4.10 ratio.

i one rear wheel off the ground with the other still on the floor so only one would turn. I thought it would have 4.10's but i guess ill just pull the cover.

No. Probably closer to 3.73 or 4.10.

If the other tire didn't turn then the tire that did turns twice as fast so you'd have to go 2 complete revolutions to get an accurate count.
