So a few weeks ago i got a bit of death wobble coming home from the mounds and decided to tear the suspension and axle out to bebuild and strengthen everyhting. Before this i was getting a bit of wandering and slop in the steering also.

After putting it all back together it still has some weird steering going on, feels tight but will wander a bit and turning feels a little goofy. I'm thinking i just need to adjust my upper arms to change my caster. And check the alignment again. I also just checked to see if the axle was square and it seems to be a 1/4 of an inch forward on one side, i'll fix that too. Do you tihnk this will cure my problems? I really get sick of little bugs... i wish i had a trailer so it could just be a trailer queen.

99 XJ, D30 adjustable radius arms, 6" coils 1.75" spacers
JCR 1 ton OTK steering - Drop pitman arm is temp... can't find my puller:pissed:
All new bushings, tight johny joints on arms and trac bar.
Did not replace ball joints but they felt tight.

Just curious but what stabilizes the outside of that control arm mount? There are "usually" three sides to the control arm mount, not counting the skid.

Well its hard to tell but the arms tabs are also welded to what is left of the factory coil bucket and shock mount, there is a lot more surface area welded up on these then the stock ones ever had. So i'm pretty sure that thats not the problem. I've been having these issues on and off for a few months.... some time after last years pig gig actually.
