Have found a set of 1/2 doors for the YJ.

Maybe a dumb question but I really don`t know the answer.:fryingpan:

How do the 1/2 doors work with a hardtop ?

Does the window meet at the top edge of the hardtop ? How is the window secured without a track ? Maybe it doesnt need a track ? Maybe the half doors use a soft upper only and will not work with a hardtop?

Thanks:wave4:

Half doors use a soft upper only and realy don't work with a hardtop. You can get doors with the rounded upper corners and they supposedly will "sorta" work but not really well. It's strange really cuz, you can have a soft top with full hard doors but hardtops weren't offered with half hard doors. but obvioulsy were offered with soft tops. You might be able to get full soft doors to fit a hardtop but I'm not sure about that.....

Thanks for the help. I really was`nt sure if the 1/2 `s could work with the window rolled up.

Primarily what I want is something to shield all the mud and such that gets thrown up by the front tires. When the hard doors are off.

Sure 1/2 doors would work. However by the time I buy them, fix the inner panels (of the set I was looking at) and paint. Might as well make up a set of tube doors and have a splash shield as part of the design. Maybe not any cheaper but at least different.

I have a nice set of hard 1/2 doors. Rust Free, dent free, interior panels (dark greay) are in good shape...
