Yeah, I am going to trim the Kodiak hood and run it. If I don't like it, I have a stock hood I could run. I still have to chop a picture to see how I want it.

Thats going to be unique, I would like to see how it turns out. Any idea what you will be doing about the bed? Cage it out or what?

ttocsnekia
11-13-2007, 12:16 AM
Flat bed with a cage, something similiar to HCT's or Possums truck

Nice. I like Phils "Ronco II", if you have seen that. I think that is a cleanly done job, with the fuel cell and storage in the back.

I think it could be a cool project...definetly not something you'd see going down the trail every day. Run dually in the rear!!!

Bolted the tranny and t case in to see where the crossmember would be. Turns out, it is real close to the stock crossmember. 4 of the 6 bolts line up on the t case, but the t case is clocked I a little high I think. Going to have to redrill the adapter and clock it down some.

In the last pics....I'm thinking that the cab is a bit far back....might run into steering problems that way.

:hehe:

If you get that hood chopped to fit and all, that thing will look kick ass.

Which is exactly the same as the c/k series.

Close, there used to be a big scoop on the top. The previous owner cut the top off and grafted a reg cab top on it (the bondo on the top). It is almost exactly like the c/k series. Some other small things are the grab handles on the side of the truck, set up for air brakes, and some other small things.

They are options done to the cab. (I work on these for a living, as well as the C/k trucks on a daily basis.)

There are also differences like heavy duty door handles, etc. that interchange.

You may see a couple of ours in the T.C. Area right now (AMcomm telecommunications/ Directional Boring Technologies)

I haven't made any progress in a while because I have been in the arcade, playing collapse.
