Hello all. I'm pretty new here, been observing for a while now. I have a pretty modded '86 cj7. It's got an older mile marker winch on it which has left me stranded twice now. Was on the jeep when I bought it. I'm not sure the "size" since labels have been off for some time, but it's either not enough for "bad stucks" or it needs servicing. It's retrieval is slow but consistent, with or without load. Doesn't stutter or quit, anything like that, but just won't pull me out of bad situations. Could armature/brushes be culprit? Anything else you can think of? I posted on CJ board, too, but nothing to help yet. Thanks in advance, I've tried to post a pic of winch and jeep for reference.

milemarkers are pretty famous for being slow, how are your connections? make sure you have good clean solid connections all around including grounds and that your battery is healthy, if all thats good its probly time for a freshed' up motor
