I would give anything to be able to play the piano. I took up guitar because I could sing with it and it was portable. Later on, my mom got each of us adults a karaoke machine. I almost never played guitar again.

Should I bring karaoke to the next party?

The Amoco station Ray was a mechanic at is now the parking lot for the Main Art Theatre. It was on the corner of 11 and main. His best friend is still living on Symes. If you ever need a security system...call Alltronic Systems...it's Ray's brother's company.

OK, back to the subject of the thread.

Brass section in the school band from 4th grade through 12th. Played the Trombone. Concert band, Jazz band and marching band. Plus pit orchestra for a couple of school musicals.

I enjoyed learning that second language.

Oh, and one time at band camp.................................... Interlochen for a week in the summer before my Junior and Senior years. Heavy duty, all serious band stuff all week.

Been saying for a while that there are a couple of things I want to do before I turn 50. Get my self in shape and give the guitar another try.

I am procrastinating on both counts, but still determined.....to try.

I play bass. Also mess with the 6 string, mandolin, organ, piano, and drums. We won't get into the brass instruments, it has been too many years.
