He drives to many road miles for Trxus , they wear fast .

BFG wears like iron , thats a good choice .

Also if you dont mind a little noise interco tire . Swamper TSL radials kick ass off road and wear well on road . Down side , there noisy on the highway but drive nice .

I am running tsl Q78 right now but they are bias , there great off road but bumpy on road .

I have ran TSL radials in the past on 3 different rigs , they wore quit well , excellent manners on road but they did sing a bit . not near as bad as a bogger but well above the noise of a AT or MT tire .

Id guess at 40,000 miles or more on a TSL radial . I doubt the truxus will go more then 25,000 . Mine wore quick on the road , there a soft compound .

Maybe check some other boards on tire tech also . Im guessing at those milage figures .

25,000-35,000 is what I have been hearing for trxus before wearing out. tires is more bad ass then i thought it was. but it is one tire that is extremely quiet on the road and holds more then its own offroad.

they are now making trxus m/ts in a sticky compound.

honestly its hard to beat the BFG m/t for price, how loud the are (not horrible), and how long they last. I would go BFG m/t if I was looking for a road friendly tire from 28"s-37"s. only reason my tires arent bfg m/t's is because theydidnt make them in that size then.

anyone know a good tire for a dd in a 36 or 37 on 15s? need it to last a while like 40k sounds good to me. hear any good or bad about the bajaclaw radials?

I drive my yj all the time and love my procomp m/t's. If I had a dedacated wheeler I would definatly go bias, But I feel that I do very well offroad. I would say that driver ability can make up SOME of the difference. How soon do you want to buy tires again? Sam's are ~ 1 year old I think.

37" BFG m/t's.

truxus. you'll get 30k out of them. even better i bet by the time you want a new set of tires I will be selling my trxus's.

or since u have a tow rig now rock a set of DD tires and a set of wheelers.

ive never like baja claws. never have seen them stand out anywhere besides sand.

I have never really liked the baja claws, unless they are grooved pretty seriously...which would not be very good for on-road use. I second the BFG Mud-Terrains. I had them on my CJ before my 36's, with 33's, and I really liked them.

I Hate the rim protector crap on my BFG's, but other than that, they are a great tire for the $

Super swamper TSL Radial gets a vote, NEVER had a bead issue.
