just how bad do you think a truck would run on 5 year old gas? I think I know but I could have other problems 2 I guess. It 's been to long at least the old girl is somewhat back to life. on a side note over the 5 years it sat I lost almost 3/4 of a tank to what I would think is just plain evaporation because it doesn't seem to be leaking from anywere. this probably isn't all that useful i thought I could share

I'm surprised it will even run on it. I would drain it out and put fresh in before it plugs something up.

Todays gas has about a 90 day shelf life before phase seperation sits in. Not even worth the risk of trying something THAT old.
As for 5 yr old gas, I can only imagine, my 2 yr olds gas is horrible.

5 years ago gas was being made to a high quality than it is today. I pulled out what I could and added premium to help offset the old stuff a little. The gas I pulled will be mixed with new gas and run through the 3 wheelers and old ass tractor that don't care as much as much about what they run on.
It was kind of funny you could hear the differeance big time as the fresh gas started to fill the carb.
