I thought I cleared my 36" Iroks a lot.....way too much lift for 35's.

After these pics I got the roof rack off it, so it will fit in Ironmans garage:hehe:. That only took me an hour. Damn thing has been on there for almost 8 years, and the screws were siezed.

Its not mine...belongs to some hot chick named Paula:lol:
Looks like it does a damn fine job of holding the driveway down.
Think it will ever hit a trail?

I had the same problem Mike , i intended to put the 34" tires on mine . It looked like 4 mini spares on it . Amount of lift was determined by clearing the 44 so theres no much i can do about it .

I originally wanted to run 38" tires. I should of bought Ironmans 38" SX's he was selling when he built my Jeep. Now I don't think I'll ever go that big with this Jeep. I'll build something with a real frame down the road and go to a 38 or 39" tire then.
I'd like to build up my Exploder someday.
After putting the 35x12.50 BFG's on the Jeep I think they look better than my 36x13.50 Iroks. The skinnier tire just looks better on a ZJ IMHO. I'm considering selling my Iroks and beadlock wheels and going the a Swamper Q78 in a 16" rim. Then seeing if I can get a 4.5"-5" backspacing to clear the steering. Then my wide axles wont looks so wide. Damn decision. I haven't even wheeled the Iroks and I'm considering selling them:fryingpan:

Well its closer to being done. Finished up the exhaust today. Front driveshaft done and in. Rear fenders welded up and some body panel adhesive put on. Need a little more of that tho' after the first stuff dries. I need to paint the fenders where I cut them, hopefully sometime in the next week.
I need to order some solenoids and a hawse fairlead for my winch. Hopefully get that done soon. I would like to have Ironman build some rocker panel proetction and a rear bumper, but that might have to wait a while for some $$$ to come in.
I'll post some pics tomorrow. We plan on flexing it on Ironman's ramp to check out the suspension and steering.

It's gonna be so funny when you actually take it out wheelin. I bet the first comment on the first picture is

So it runs, stops, is welded, exhaust is done, driveshafts done....what is the ETA on this thing? It has to be close.

Like mentioned earlier....need to fix the winch, and its ready to wheel(I could wheel without a winch tho'). I will drive around town for a while to break in the gears. When I actually hit the trail who knows, depends on whats going on this winter with runs. Hopefully something is happening in Feb or March.
I have tons of state land 5 miles north of my house so I'll sure I'll be out there shortly messing with the Heep, just to make sure everything is functioning okay.

I had it up the ramp farther but lost a rear coil:ha:

Beside the rear coils falling out, rear shocks are also gonna limit flex. Notice in this pic how close I am to bottoming out the right rear shock.

Also have problem with the tcase. For some reason the linkage is messed up. Can't get it into 4lo. The leaver is hitting the floor column(I think thats what it's called), it stops in neutral. Pat and I will mess with that next week. I'm also going to paint up the fenders and front bumper. II'll order the parts to fix the winch this weekend. Gonna be ready soon.

Tim, ordered a hawse fairlead, and new winch solenoids. So I should have a working winch this week. I already have synthetic ropes sitting in the Jeep, its never been used as my soleniods blew when I was pulling the old cable off:fryingpan:

How long it takes to build is not the issue as long as it is the mostest badest assest ZJ once it is done . Now if it breaks down and took this long to build oh boy you will get the mostest razzingest shit ever :marv:

Painted the fenders, repainted the front bumper. Used Dupli-color spray on bedliner. Its about $7.50 a can, but sprays nice and I like the looks finish product. Also got the winch all set and functional. Ironman messed with my tcase and got the linkage set so 4low is usable.

Still have a few odds and ends to do, but it's pretty much ready. I'm picking up from Ironmans on Friday, so hopefully this weekend I can finish up a few things.
Waiting on taxes so I can have Pat build some sliders, and rear bumper. Maybe an anti rock swaybar up front if $$$ allows.
Thanks for your time:wave4:

I wont be at the Chili run....if I do go wheeling next weekend it will be with 4given4x4 up in West Branch.
But right now I don't have a trailer to use(its snowed in a barn)...so doubt I'll do anything for a while.
