In the process of replacing the transfer case in MudnXJ's heep. It is a '93 and we have a replacement from a 2000. Some things look different, will it fit???

i would think it should
both should be 23 spline
were they both hooked to an auto tranny?

As far as I know they both were. The two major differences I see are shown below.
1] Bolt hole missing on new case, is there a spot inside for this bolt to go thru?

Got it Shawn, thanks. Looks like you were answering both Nick in Cali and I. Got our transfer case rebuilt and installed now. Just have to hook up the linkage for the 4WD and the driveshafts. Should be good to go then.

The white one was a YJ also, now he has an XJ. Still breaking things though.:rolleyes:
Have the case together and in, now just have to install the driveshafts and hook up the linkage.
