Ok so I figure I should do a build thread. Here goes......

1993 XJ Country $375 (with a blown headgasket), and custom rusted wheels.

Then came the homemade 2" lift. I made my own 2" coilspring spacers, and 2" lift blocks. I also made a set of swaybar disconnects.....

What happens when the spare tire slides over and takes out the regulator?

Angle grinder not sawsall. lol. Had to do it, The 29" tires rubbed bad. And if you look you'll see the red strap holding the spare in place. It wont move.

Plan is to use the A/C compressor. Still need to get an oilier and a dryer.

Ahhh got ya. I thought I saw a 110 cord and was wondering how that was gonna work.

I am using an old compressor that the motor was fired on. I am going to run a wire from the battery to the 110 wire in. Then out from the 110 wire to the A/C comp. That way I can use the on/off switch, manifold, pressure switch, blowoff valve, gages, and tank. I have an old hose that I will run from the A/C comp. to the tank. All I am missing is an inline oiler as there is no freon to lube the system, and a dryer to catch water and oil before it hits the tank.
Very simple to do. I have a friend that has had his for about 2 years now and has had no problems. He uses it to fill tires on multiple rigs after wheeling and also to run air tools when working on the Jeep.

Yup, same concept as many on here.

Is that some kind of optical delusion thing or is there some kind of z-bar steering in there?

I'm looking to do something similar, to keep my spare tire, CO2 tank and some tools from bouncing all over the place.... did you anchor that box somehow?

I like the idea that someone will actually build a rig with little or next to nothing involved. I think that is what real wheelin is all about, build it to your needs and f- the ones who cant appreciate it. The offroad aftermarket has exploded in the last 10 to 15 years witch isnt bad, but it takes away from the personal touch a builder wheeler may put into his/her rig; the only personal touches anymore are the stickers you put on your rig. Not all the ideas are winners but they all are not failures as well. Im not bucking Jeeps,Broncos,Toyotas,Blazers or Scouts, I just think when someone does a rig on a budjet or to their own specifications a little more encouragement is always a good thing, not picking it apart because theyve done something different. Sorry bout the rant, Im very vulnerable right now.:hehe:

Well floors are mostly gone, so only thing I could think of was to anchor it to the wheel wells. Used screws from outside in.

Ok I scored bigtime. I got a set of 33/12.5/15 Thornbirds, More then 60% tread for $150. Also got my S-10 rear leafs and 6.5" coils NIB for $100. Found a set of 4 shocks for $100 NIB on E-BAY. Lift may happen sooner then I thought.
