I have a 93 ranger 3.0 5 spd. The other night my truck threw a belt, so it sat for longest then it has in a while(24ish hrs). Once i went to drive it(really cold out) again the clutch didn't engage til it was almost to the floor, If i pumped it then it would engage like normal. Once it warms up it is mostly normal. It has enoughs fluid in it, although the reservoir was empty about a week ago and i filled it.. I am thinking I have water in the fluid, or have a leak at the slave. Just wondering what you guys think it might be.

air in the lines. try and bleed the system out. if there is water it would be just like the fluid except not mixing to well you cant compress a liquide either way. so try and bleed it.

Reason i said water is I was thinking it was getting slushy from the cold. O well it went away after like 3 times of drivng it, I'll just ignore it until it strands me.

If you think there is water in there flush the system. The fluid (dot3 brake fluid) absorbs water. the water will make it corrode and wear our your seals. if it was empty you probably have a leak some where as well as have some water in it

Guess i will flush it, I just don't want to admit there is a leak because the slave is in the trans and that is what is leaking.
