I've owned my 1992 Ford Flareside since I picked it up new at the Dealership in October of 1992. Lets just say I'm attached.
Well, its time.......................nope not to sell, but to make it better. LOL

The body is coming off in March, to have the 16 years of Michigan fatigue removed. The drivetrain is being removed, and the frame is being boxed to allow for the new/used 500hp 460 Big block, C6 tranny with 2400 stall, and a 205 transfercase.

I'm hoping to have it ready to play, by the middle of July.

what are you doing for the axles? keeping stock or swapping.

I'm keeping them stock until I run out of spare parts for them.(I've been saving over the years)...............after that, I will look into a solid axle conversion.
I'm not a heavy foot driver so I should be good for awhile (at least I hope so)
I also have two really nice sets of aluminum rims and tires 5 on 5.5. So I kind of want to stay with that pattern, at least until the tires wear out.

Still way behind, with my schedule,........but I did get some more done tonight.
Just a few more feet each side to go, then the frame can be painted.

500hp ... 2400 stall,.

Isn't 2400 rpm a bit high?

I'm gonna have to fire my motor mount guy. :hehe:

My passenger side exhaust header hits the frame and the oil pan only clears the crossmember by an 1/8 inch. :fp:
But, I did get a little farther tonight:

Had to move the cab to the other side of the barn,.......getting it ready to put on the frame.

So, I built myself a Redneck tow truck.

I've been pretty ill for the last month, so I did not get that much done until tonight.
The cab is on and close to being mounted.
