sway bar links

I would like to put together some disconnect sway bar links for the front of my XJ. I have the old links I was planning on using for this. The problem is I have no idea where to begin. Any one done this before or have ideas or pictures? that would be good. I've seen picts of them where ther is a pin in the top and bottom to disconnect them leaving the two ends on the vehicle but cant seem to find them again.

Basically you cut your link in half, add a sleeve to re-connect the 2 parts, drill holes for pins and yer done.
