Looking at getting 2 long travel shock for the rear of the rig (its 4 linked), was going to go with Fox air shocks but dont want to spend that much right now, I need to many other important things for the rig. So which one do I go with.(Rancho,BDS,Bilstein, etc) Looking for opinions and would love to here from someone that has used shocks along these lines.

What do you consider long travel? I'm using 4 Rusty's shocks. They are for the front of a 10" lift on an XJ. I think they are 14" travel. I can try to dig up the info on them if you are interested.

Yj body on a Extended Cj frame, chevy 350,SM465,NP205 d60frt wit detroit, 14bolt rear welded, axles are full length, 4.10gears. sits on 39" Gumbo muddrs on beadlocks. it doesnt have any lift per say, the suspension is just all thrown together, it has leafs in the frt with rubicon express shocks and the rear coil I believe the guy said it was out of a old like 1980's lincoln frt end, and there cut down.

You need to find out how much travel you have. From full stuff to full extended and go from there.
