Well i almost have Justin's long arm kit wrapped up. Its just a radius arms. The cross member is 3 pieces so you can drop the tranny or t-case if need be. The idea was to make a fully bolt on kit this time. All it needs is a couple angle pieces added and sleeves in the rails like BDS's kit. The cross member provided a half inch of drop while keeping the same overall clearance as stock.

Yup i built the cross member. The more i look at it i may box everything in for a bit added strength.

I'm really thinking of unbolting everything and making a couple jigs so i can produce this as a kit without having to have a vehicle in the shop all the time. So if i do this i will start making a couple soon.
As far as a price goes i am trying to keep it reasonable. The johnny joints and hardware make up a big chunk of the cost. I am trying to keep the price around $500. Once this is wrapped up and i can add up all the material cost and figure out my time i'll have a better idea if it will be worth it for me to do in my spare time... which is very limited.
I cut all the pieces and brackets myself. I i can just order more of the parts to save time with out increasing cost i will have to look into that also. Business is so much fun....

Really, that thing looks factory...or at least an aftermarket company made. Does not look home built at all.

Well its all finished up. Just just has to paint the arms and then bolt everything together.
36" tire for reference.

The XJ is using RE 3.5 coils and leafs with 31" LTB's. It took nearly a year for the RE Springs to settle to their claimed lift.

The axle is actually drooping about 1.5" more then it will with the shocks in so limit straps will be added.

The passenger side bump stop extension is not installed so i stopped at about where i figured the bump stop would fully be compressed.

Arm just clears the unibody

Overall The axle was moved forward 1" and the arms still have at least a full inch of adjustment so as he goes up in height the arms should work with no problems. No hopefully i can get back to my heep

So Sandman's will be the first one i do off a jig instead of the vehicle. Hopefully it turns out well and will bolt on smoothly. Once that one is made i will have a good idea for price and time frame. :woot:
