My insurance company is taing forever for my claim. Wrecked car 2 over 2 weeks ago, finally considered it a total loss 5 days ago, and said they would get with me this week. Finally get a call today asking for my acct info on my loan. Says he might get back to me today, 4pm no call, so i call him. He says i need to get it approved by the supervisor and he is gone for the day, so ill get bck to you monday. I say this is bs its been over 2 weeks and u guys don't even have a total, i need my money so i can do some werk to the truck im driving now. He then says even after it is settled it will take a month to write the check. WTF is this normal? almost 7 wks between crash and check? I am still paying interest and want to see if there is anything i can do to get thier asses moving. I am ready to kill someone right now, this means 500 less dollars for me during christmas time.

No its not normal , if it is setting in a tow yard do not let them move it . If there paying storage that will speed them up normally .

I sure would not insure with them in the future .

Id call a couple weeks ridculous

I went from crash to check to buy it back to sell it to buy a new vehicle in less than 3 weeks.

I went from crash to check in hand in 4 days. I did drive to the claims off ice to get the check

First time I was told they will get back that day and I find out they knew they couldn't and wouldn't, I would be in the office...

I as well as some others are curious to what insurance company you're with, so we know to stay away.

Amerucan fellowship mutal. Only good thing so far is they affered me 9700 without fighting with them.

Be sure to check with kelly blue book and cars of similar make and model for sale in the area to make sure you're getting what you deserve.
